The Alliance of Hotspot Operators Uganda Co. Limited (AHOU) is the national body that unites and represents hotspot operators, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), network infrastructure providers, internet resellers, and ICT companies across Uganda.
Established to promote collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth within Uganda's telecommunications sector, the Alliance serves as the collective voice of its members while advocating for affordable, reliable, and accessible internet connectivity for all Ugandans.
AHOU works closely with government institutions, regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and development partners to promote compliance with telecommunications laws and regulations, improve technical standards, and encourage fair competition throughout the industry. By fostering cooperation and infrastructure sharing, the Alliance helps reduce deployment costs, improve service quality, and expand internet access to underserved communities across the country.
Our mission extends beyond advocacy. We are committed to building the capacity of our members through professional training, technical certification, research, innovation, and knowledge sharing. We also provide a platform for networking, dispute resolution, and collaboration, enabling members to grow their businesses while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, cybersecurity, and consumer protection.
As the leading representative body for Uganda's hotspot and internet access ecosystem, AHOU champions policies and initiatives that accelerate digital transformation, strengthen the ICT sector, and contribute to national socio-economic development.

To unite, represent, and empower hotspot operators across Uganda through advocacy, capacity building, technical standards development, and the promotion of fair competition and shared infrastructure, while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering innovation within Uganda's digital economy.
